I really like this boombox. I mainly use it to listen to XM radio but I like the fact that I can play a CD (rarely) or listen to AM/FM radio (occasionally). Not the highest fidelity in the world but it is great for around the house, backyard BBQ-ing, working in the yard, the beach.
None of the problems noted in the other reviews other than the instruction manual not being correct/clear. We have owned this system for several years now. Only item that bugs me is that the unit always remains in the standby mode, a problem if the batteries are used then not removed when done. Very good sound for it's size. Lots of features. It will drain the batteries all the way down, a real problem if rechargables are used. Other than that, wouldn't leave home without it.
I bought this item about a month ago. My only complaint is that the radio is difficult to remove from the slot and takes some effort. I have been very pleased with it. It has good sound and I have not experienced the noise that some other reviewers have written about. I liked this enough that we replaced our old (CD quit working) shelf stereo system with this. I actually have two - one for work and one for home.
Five stars for the quality and the low price. No, it's not loud, but the sound is clean and clear.
The price was great and I can use it in my home. Nothing like a little jazz in the background on a Sunday morning or listening to a ball game in the evenings.
This little boombox does just fine. This is a danged good boombox.
I can also hook this up to my "serious" stereo via the auxilliary input with a Y-connection adapter. So now I have XM in the car, any room in the house, on a trip or on my stereo.

When using cord, recommend you remove the batteries, or at least open the compartment (to disconnect them), otherwise will run off battery power (even if plugged into house current).Comes with a remote, which I secured on top of one of the speakers with Velcro, this way it won't get lost. GREAT ALL IN ONE: XM Radio(I have the Skyfi2), MP3,CD,AM/FM Radio. The cord/power source I have in a Crown Royal bag attached to the handle (so all are together).Mfg was easy to reach, answered all my questions,and helped me overcome my user error. Compact with plenty of electrical & antenna cording. Runs off batteries as well (CD & XM uses them fast). Very friendly. Has a toll free# 877 463-3574.
